Take Note
This space was created to facilitate intimate gatherings that spark conversation and connection. We know the power of dialogue and aim to hold honest, critical and friendly discussions that can help shape a new perspective, insight or friendship.
The process
Please answer the application questions thoughtfully; this helps us get to know you better.
We will communicate via email so please provide an email that you actually use.
How to show up
Community requires participation and consistency–you must commit to at least 5 of 6 meet-ups per season. We understand it’s often hard to commit to things months ahead, but we trust that you will do your best; if there is any doubt of your general availability, please reconsider applying at this time.
Racism, sexism, homophobia, ableism and any other ism that isn’t rooted in love is not allowed.
Different personality types and processors are encouraged. We understand people process information differently and encourage applications from people who identify across the spectrum. The key is that when you are in the No Small Talk space, you are listening, present, and sharing space and time with us.
Apply
Click here to apply and place your name on the waitlist.
We draw names at the top of each quarter, with a small break in July and August. Our next season will begin in September 2024, with 10 spots for our new cohort. Names are automatically placed on our waitlist and selected by lottery.
We announce the full season dates one month ahead of the first meet-up.
Connect
In the meantime, stay up to date with our work through the No Small Talk newsletter. A public text thread between our facilitators Jennifer and Miriam where they share their side conversations, conversation starters, what they’re reading, observing and listening to, plus notes from our offline gatherings and more.
If you subscribe to the No Small Talk newsletter, you will receive updates on our happenings ahead of the wider community.
